Hey there! I’m Steph Curry. No, I don’t play for the Golden State Warriors—but I do serve as point guard in a more provincial sense of the term. As a mother of three littles, communications and management consultant, and home designer, I [attempt to] take point on a thing or two in my daily grind.
I came to interior design via untraditional means. A strategic communications specialist by trade, I went to school for marketing and communications and pursued a career as a management consultant. While I love this work, I’ve always had a passion for interior design–stemming back into childhood. Growing up an Army brat, the first decade of my life was spent in seven different houses. Though I became an expert in packing at a young age (haven’t unpacked a chipped glass yet!) each new place we settled didn’t really feel all that settled. So, I made it my mission in each new place to make a little piece of the house my home. I’d scramble to beat my older brother to the punch in picking the best “kid” room–but even when that didn’t work (we took turns getting the bigger room, per parental protocol), I always made sure the room I stayed in became more than a temporary hub. Having dreamed up a color scheme well before each physical move, I always had plans for making each room a haven–and that passion never dissipated.
Now with our own kids, I enjoy making each of their rooms feel uniquely them–and building a home that helps them to grow and thrive. I believe we all do our best when we have a beautiful home environment that inspires!
